Feeling the Inward Body

Feeling the Inward Body

I’ve encountered practices that use body awareness as either part of an inventory or processing or noticing experience. In meditation or a restful, aware state, one can look at the body and notice how and where thoughts, feelings, and emotions are emanating through the body. This type of awareness is often challenging during anxiety- and fear- triggering situations where I tend to close down. But developing an ease and comfort working with the body during a daily meditation practice is helpful for noticing sooner and more subtly where I am at in any given moment.
